This information is here to help you decide what tools or strategies you might need to help you come and have fun at our fortnightly events.
Getting there
- The events are at Apex House. 3 Gollan St, Ulverstone.
- There is some on-street parking near Apex House on Gollan St
- Some people park in the Coles Carpark. It’s free parking after 12 on Saturdays.
- There is a Coastal Board Games sign up in front of the Apex House driveway. Go down the driveway.
- You’ll see the set up room and people!

What to expect
- An open room with 8 tables with 6 chairs each. Some tables at the back with board games on them.
- A ‘Host’ at the front door who will greet you, sign you in, and explain things to you if you are new.
- You can ask the host questions any time in the event. They will be wearing an orange high-vis vest.
- There will be up to 35 people playing games.
- Games start regularly. If you are new, it can be best to arrive at 2pm or for dinner time (6-7), as there will be lots of games starting at those times.
- You can also come whenever you want. You can leave whenever you want.
- Some people come and go through the night. Some people sit and talk on the couches for a while.
- Sometimes games have been pre-planned on discord. This means that sometimes people will start playing a game without talking about it first. You can let them know you’re interested in playing another time.
- Often people will play a game once, and then change games. They might stay in the same group to play the new game. Or they might change groups. If you want to play the same game more times, you can ask if they want to play again. Or you can ask anyone at the Library Table if they want to play.
- Different games are in the Library each time. That’s because different people come each fortnight, and they bring different games each time. If there’s a game you want to play and you don’t own it, you can ask people on discord to bring it.
- Lots of people come every fortnight. They might stand around ‘catching up’ with each other during the event.
