A quiet but fun night at CBG this long weekend.
Here are the games that made it to the table;
Greed
Sniper Elite
Carcassonne
Tales of Arabian Nights
Western Legends
SETI
Mercado de Lisboa
The Crew: Mission Deep Sea
Twisted Cryptids
Kingdomino
Barbecubes
Guillotine
With a game of SETI lined up for a 4pm start Mike, Josh and I decided to get out a game that doesn’t hit the table often enough. Mercardo de Lisboa. A Vital Lacerda game based on his classic Lisboa. Mercardo de Lisboa takes the mechanics of one part of the bigger game and streamlines it down to a 30min tile placement game. Every time we get this one out Mike and I both say, “we need to get this to the table more”.
In no time Josh had it down and was doing tile calculus while Mike and could only watch. Several turns in a row Josh managed to not only find the best location for him to open a new market stand but at the same time ruin what Mike or I had planned. This resulted in Josh destroying us on the score board, twice. Well done.
Mercardo de Lisboa will be at CBG on a regular basis now so if you are interested in a game come and see me.
Meeple Escape Tickets are one sale so make sure you secure your place at the table for a full weekend of board gaming!
